Night Drive

I decided to go back home again this weekend in order to get my car and to be reunited with the mission team I went to Haiti with. It was awesome seeing everyone again. All of us talked about the trip and the kids and also just catching up on what everyone is doing now and days. As the super bowl was ending my friends were trying to convince me to stay the night and leave in the mourning at six so I could make it to my classes, but I said no way. So I decided to chug some coffee and hit the rode knowing that I would not get back to Knoxville until midnight. As I got on the rode I said a little prayer for safety and hoped that it was a good idea to leave this late at night. Feeling like it was a great choice I decided to blare some music to pump me up even though I just chugged some coffee. Which if you know me really well you realize that I am a very hyper person so if I drink coffee it really tweaks me out. So the mixture of coffee and loud music really made me pumped up. I bobbled my head for a while, hit the steering wheel with my hand, and sang out loud very obnoxiously. I listened to all different types of music. I went from Christian Hip Hop to the Goo Goo Dolls. It did not matter if the song was slow or fast I was going to sing and dance as much as I could while maintaining my focus on the rode. I finally made it to Knoxville found a parking spot relatively quickly, took a shower, and got into bed. I figured I would pass out from all the hyper activity and the long drive, but I was wrong. I laid in bed forever rolling back and forth, my mind racing, and my body heating up because I was still hyper. I do not know when exactly I fell asleep, but I was able to make it to my classes. Thanks be to Jesus

  1. I also like to sing with the radio to keep myself awake.

  2. I always have to pray before I drive back. It just gives me peace, because driving freaks me out since everyone's a crazy driver. It's worked so far!
