King Roach

I was watching a movie when my roommate comes barging into the room telling me pause the movie Christian you have to see this! I pause the movie, but I was kind of upset at the fact I had to leave my movie for a surprise my roommate wanted to show me. As we are walking down the hall he says, "I thought they said they sprayed down our halls." I did not pay attention closely to what he meant by that, but then I see it! It was the biggest cockroach I have ever seen in my life. It was as big as my thumb! As I stare at it I notice that the roach is not moving, but is looking back at me. I begin to walk closer to it so I can squash it and it takes off. This roach had rockets on its little legs. I have never seen a bug move so quickly. I move quicker to catch it and I did crush it. I ended up killing it in our guest bathroom and really did not think about it bothering our guests. I go back to finish my movie feeling like a mighty warrior that took on such a huge bug. When my movie ends I take it back to the front desk to turn it in and to get my license. When I get back to my hall I hear a girl say, "It just freaks me out." I turn my attention to where I heard the comment and the girl is standing outside of the guest bathroom. I began laughing and walked over to tell her and her boyfriend that I was the one who killed the roach. So she was happy to know that it was dead and preceded to use the restroom. She was freaked out though by the size of the roach and I do not blame her. It was King Roach. Be sure to keep your eyes open for the King Roaches in your own dorms.

  1. Dorm life is officially ruined. I am seriously disturbed. Guess I should've known and expected such creepy crawlies to be around here... oh gosh. That's terrible. Glad you killed it!

  3. I actually saw two crawling on our water fountain in Hess Hall. Now that I think about it I see one every couple of weeks in our hall. Needless to say, I am never using that water fountain again.

  4. Roaches freak me out, especially the ones that fly. Gives me shivers just thinking about it...
